Hey Everyone!!!

Well as stated I am the International Student Representative, I LOVE meeting people and I love pretending to be an expert at speaking lots of languages (particularly Faroese!). About me? Well…

Basics? Fiona Catherine Irvine, 20, preacher’s kid, youngest of 4, 2nd Year Theology, city girl, lover of hair-design, music, and travelling.

Background? Canadian/Scottish family, I was born in Maryland USA, but my hometown is Atlanta Georgia, A-town!

My Role? Well, the best I think! I’m here to help the International Students adjust and help them feel at home and get involved.. aka: get to know a bunch of cool people from cool countries and go out to eat with them!! Wooo hooo! (And of course help you with things such as where to shop for food and how to get healthcare, etc.)

Why Glasgow? In 2003 I visited the Borders with my church and fell in love with Scotland and people there. Basically, I’ve been back and forth ever since. After I graduated high school I spend four months all over Scotland and during that time God changed my life in amazing ways, and I moved back to Atlanta ecstatic about Scotland… So I worked full time, prayed a whole lot, met with a bunch of people, and all doors led to ICC! I loooooove studying, but, no, I don’t know what I want to do with my degree yet! Eeeeh!

For fun? I really love white water rafting, but that’s mainly while I’m in the States. Glasgow has been awesome as far as meeting amazing friends that God has been awesome in providing, I love going to see music gigs, anywhere, anytime, I love Glasgow for making me walk and get a little more in shape (especially good because I love eating Scottish chocolate!!), I love walking around Sauchiehall Street with my ipod in and good music, I love doing animal impressions, I love coffee dates with people to talk about the amazingness of God, I LOVE shopping but am usually far too poor, I love my family and miss then always :] but I thank God for my dream-come-true of living in Glasgow with people I love and studying what I’m passionate about.

I cannot waiiiiit to meet everyone in the upcoming year and I’d be happy to show you around the fun bits of Glas-vegas! Weekends basically consist of either watching dvds and eating way too much junk or going to see gigs, so if you’re into either, or you just have questions just yell at me (cause you’ll probably have to be that loud to talk over my loud voice!). Everyone on the Student Council ROCKS by the way, so feel free to be best friends with all of us :]

Can’t wait to meet ya’ll!!!
